Trained by his father, Ustad Imdad Hussain of the Delhi Gharana and later by Pandit ravi Shankar in India, Ikhlaq Hussain is a most accomplished sitarnawaz. He plays in the gayaki ang which seeks to emulate the human voice through the sitar. He has performed the world over to much acclaim.
