Urooj Saami is the son of Dilli Gharana luminary, Ustad Naseeruddin Saami. He inherits the strong traditions of Qawwal Bachcha gharana through direct lineage to Miyan Tanrus Khan and Miyan Saamat Bin Ibrahim. Urooj Saami received his training from his father and also his maternal grandfather, Munshi Raziuddin.
