Latcho Drom
Summary:
Latcho Drom (1993) is a critically acclaimed documentary by Director Tony Gatlif, celebrating a centuries old way of life practiced by the nomadic Romany people spread across the world. An enchanting film featuring musicians and dancers (who are actual members of the Romani community) of India, Egypt, Turkey, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, France and Spain, the film tells the story of the communities through music and very little dialogue.

BharatNatyam: Sacred in form, dynamic in spirit
Summary:
A Doordarshan compilation of performances from some of the most celebrated contemporary artistes of the genre like the Padmabhushans: Kalanidhi Narayana, Dr. Yamini Krishnamurthy, Alarmel Valli and Padma Shris: Leela Samson and Malavika Sarukkai. The recitals offer views into nearly all aspects of Bharatnatyam dance and end with two excerpts from larger choreographed traditional dance-dramas. The film will be accompanied by explanations preceding each piece by classical exponent Ms. Sheema Kermani (Runtime: 65 mins)
